It’s not quite a home fight, but Aljamain Sterling won’t have to travel far for his next UFC bout.
Newsday reported that Long Island’s Sterling will take on rising bantamweight prospect Brett Johns at UFC Fight Night 128 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The night’s main card airs live on Fox Sports 1, although it’s not yet known if Sterling-Johns will be on the main card or the prelims.
Sterling (14-3) last fought in December, suffering a vicious KO loss vs. Marlon Moraes, marking the first stoppage defeat of his career.
