If Nathaniel Wood wants to do more than merely tread water in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, he will need to return to the consistency that once made him one of the sport’s most promising young talents.
Wood’s latest assignment pits him against Charles Jourdain in a UFC Fight Night 209 featherweight showcase on Saturday at Accor Arena in Paris. The Bellator MMA alum has alternated wins and losses in each of his past four appearances. Wood last competed at UFC Fight Night 208, where his July 23 debut at 145 pounds resulted in a three-round unanimous decision over American Top Team product Charles Rosa.
