Sean Brady is closing in on a title shot.
The once-beaten welterweight picked up the biggest win of his career in the headliner of the UFC's latest event at the Apex in Las Vegas, defeating former title challenger Gilbert Burns by unanimous decision. Brady's win over the sixth-ranked Brazilian should set him up for a fight with one of the division's top dogs, and if he wins again, a title shot could be next.
Brazilian flyweight Natalia Silva also put herself in the running for a title shot in the co-main event, defeating former strawweight champ Jessica Andrade over three rounds for a unanimous-decision win of her own.
