UFC Fight Night 244 wasn't a blockbuster on paper, but it set the stage for some great fights in some of the promotion's best divisions.
Saturday's card in Las Vegas was headlined by a flyweight contest between No. 1 contender Brandon Royval and the previously unbeaten Tatsuro Taira. It was a close fight, but in the end, the American defended his top spot with a dubious split-decision victory over the Japanese contender.
In the co-main event, South Korea's Park Jun-yong picked up one of the biggest victories of his career, defeating Brad Tavares with a split-decision win of his own.
