The same can be said when your ears are met with the screeching violin sounds heard in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho.” Likewise, the one tuba, four trombones, six basses, and eight celli used in the unmistakable “Jaws” theme usually informs you that the end is certainly near.

These distinct sounds send a chill up your spine and an overpowering sense of fear into the pit of your stomach.
