“Kill kill kill… mom mom mom…”
Anytime you that disturbing melody in the 1980 horror film “Friday The 13th,” you know bad things are about to happen, because Jason Vorhees is near. The same can be said when your ears are met with the screeching violin sounds heard in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho.” Likewise, the one tuba, four trombones, six basses, and eight celli used in the unmistakable “Jaws” theme usually informs you that the end is certainly near.
These distinct sounds send a chill up your spine and an overpowering sense of fear into the pit of your stomach.
