2021 for MMA was one of the best years in the sport’s history. The UFC continued to excel despite all of the difficulties surrounding Covid-19. Those challenges are still very prevalent, however, with the announcement of UFC’s return to Columbus, it appears Fight Night events will be away from the Apex or “Fight Island” for the first time since February of 2020 when Joseph Benevidez took on Deiveson Figueiredo at the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
