Conor McGregor vs Tony Ferguson
Ferguson was due to face Khabib Nurmagomedov, but a fifth cancellation of the fight suggests that the pair are destined never to meet.
With Ramadan starting soon the Russian is unlikely to be able to fight again until autumn, leaving Ferguson searching for a new opponent.
Justin Gaethje had been called up as a replacement for Nurmagomedov and that certainly had the potential to be an interesting contest.
However, with Nurmagomedov out of the loop right now the true money-making fight would be a clash between Ferguson and Conor McGregor.
It would be tough to guess the winner between the pair and this is the type of fight that would leave UFC fans across the world salivating.
Jorge Masvidal vs Kamara Usman
Masvidal has been tipped as a potential future opponent for McGregor, but the man many fans want him to face is Kamara Usman.
The pair got involved in a heated online exchange following the cancellation of the Ferguson versus Nurmagomedov fight to spark speculation that they could be set to meet.
Usman has been sweeping all before him in the welterweight division and accused Masvidal of being all hype and no substance.
Masvidal hit back by saying he was ready to face the champion whenever he wanted and a fight on the island would certainly get fans talking.
The ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ would be the favorite to win the bout if it was made, but it would be foolish to write off Masvidal’s hopes of coming out on top.
Tyron Woodley vs Colby Covington
Woodley looked to be on a downward spiral in his last fight as he was comprehensively outclassed by Usman at UFC 235.
However, the 38-year-old has insisted that he will bounce back and a meeting with Covington would be an interesting proposition.
During a recent interview with TMZSports, the former welterweight champion identified Covington as a fighter he wanted to face.
Covington’s outspoken political views haven’t endeared him to many mixed martial arts fans and Woodley believes he is the man to knock him down a peg or two.
The 32-year-old was also defeated by Usman in his most recent fight and a meeting with Woodley appears to be his next logical step.
