Chicago Red Stars extended their winning streak to five games with a road victory over the Washington Spirit at the weekend. The Red Stars have also not conceded a goal in 300 minutes. From a team that looked listless just a month ago, this is an incredible turnaround that shows off the quality of a lot of players around the club.
The Chicago Red Stars tried to start the game off like usual with a quick goal. Chances came in the sixth minute for Arin Wright, the eighth minute for Sam Kerr, and the 20th minute for Tierna Davidson, but the opportunities were squandered with inaccurate shooting, Davidson’s shot being the only one to challenge Aubrey Bledsoe.
