Pedro Morales is definitely on his way out of Vancouver. The Chilean midfielder’s departure, reported by local Vancouver news two weeks ago, was confirmed in an announcement on the Whitecaps website on Wednesday.
Coach Carl Robinson was full of praise for his outgoing captain:
“Since the day Pedro joined our club he has been an excellent professional and one of the most naturally gifted players I have ever coached. We are thankful for his contributions to the club and city, and wish him all the best.”
Morales leaves Vancouver as the Whitecaps’ all-time MLS regular season assist leader with 22, and second highest club MLS goal scorer with 25 goals.
