The goals came in droves in the first half for the United States Women’s National Team as they handed Belgium a 6-0 defeat. Four goals came within the first 33 minutes of the match and effectively secured the victory for the USWNT.
A less eventful second half ensued as two more goals came for the U.S., including Alex Morgan’s 101st goal for the USWNT, but it was a terrific first-half performance that rightly stole the headlines. Although Belgium is not ranked in the top 10 teams in the world, the USWNT were able to hand one of Europe’s top teams a comfortable defeat.
