USMNT Vs Curacao: 3 things we learned – Pulisic, McKennie inspire win

A 1-0 victory over Curacao has put the United States Men’s National Team into the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. It was not the most attractive win for the USMNT during their tournament run but it got the job done.

Weston McKennie’s 25th-minute goal was the difference as the American midfielder scored his first goal of the tournament. Curacao did press the U.S. late on, with goalkeeper Zack Steffen called into action on a few occasions, but ultimately, Gregg Berhalter’s side hung on for the crucial win. Jamaica now awaits the USMNT in semi-finals. The winner of that match will face either Mexico or Haiti in the final on July 7th.
