After an underwhelming performance against Panama, changes to the starting line-up were expected. Those changes did not bring about a lot more confidence. The USMNT did get the win against Martinique, but the 3-2 scoreline and needing a late winner from Jordan Morris was not what was expected.
Things were scoreless at halftime. The US had the lions share of possession, and corners, but couldn’t find the back of the net. Early in the second half Omar Gonzales reacted first to a loose ball following a corner and scored his second international goal.
Jordan Morris got his second and the US looked to be cruising despite their frustrations.
