USMNT: Goalkeeper Ethan Horvath Becomes First American Player to Start Match for Club Brugge

Friday was a big day for Horvath as it marked his first senior team appearance with Club Brugge since making the move to the Belgian side in January. The club went on to win 3-1 against Royal Charleroi SC. Horvath made three saves and earned his first career victory in net for Brugge.

Previously, the American goalkeeper had been a member of Molde FK in Norway where he played from August of 2013 to the end 2016. Horvath produced 19 clean sheets in 56 appearances for Molde.

Horvath is only one of five American goalkeepers to have played in a UEFA Europa League match.
