It couldn’t have gone any better for one of Celtic’s newest acquisitions — and U.S. Men’s National Team prospect.
Just a few weeks after joining the Scottish club on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, Tim Weah was on the scoresheet in a cup match. The 18-year-old got his introduction from off the bench in the 69th minute as a substitute. He would then score in the 83rd minute to put Celtic in the driver’s seat with a 3-0 lead.
Celtic will resume normal league play on Wednesday when they play St. Mirren. They will then play Hamilton just three days later on Saturday.
