The 2019/20 season started off with an injury for U.S. Men’s National Team center-forward Tim Weah and has kept the Lille man sidelined for a large part of the campaign. That was until this weekend when he made his return to the pitch.
Weah entered in the second half to make a brief 10-minute appearance in 2-1 loss to Marseille in Ligue 1 action. It was a celebratory return for a player of great promise but horrible injury luck, someone who the USMNT were looking to build around.
Heartbreakingly, then, his comeback will be short-lived as Lille announced Weah will be out for a decent period after he tore his right hamstring and will enter the process rehabilitation once more.
