The USL announced this week that it was designating an “official field builder” to the league. Seriously. The sole remaining men’s Division II soccer league in North America has no official energy drink, candy bar, or personal grooming system, but it does now have an official layer of turf.
Of course, that makes some sense when you consider the level of expansion for next year that USL is expecting. And then again the league is also adding a Division III sub-league as well. That’s going to mean a lot of field building. Hmmm, I wonder if they’d have time to come over next summer and take care of my gopher problem….
