Here are the five goals that made the cut for the USL goals of the week. The New York Red Bulls II and Pittsburgh Riverhounds are strongly represented in this week’s top goals, as the defending USL champions opened their 2017 campaign with a thrilling 3-3 draw against the Riverhounds.
In total, 30 goals were scored during opening weekend, with the aforementioned Red Bulls and Riverhounds match producing the most goals in a single match. Impressively, four different USL players recorded braces in their first matches of 2017.
