Transfer Rumors: Portland close to landing multiple signatures

The Portland Timbers are looking to get their best foot forward heading into 2018. After finishing in first place in the Western Conference, the Timbers are reportedly close to signing two new pieces to help the club heading into the new season. It didn’t take new head coach Gio Savarese long to make a signing, as Portland signed Costa Rican defender Julio Cascante.

Unsurprisingly, the Timbers seem far from done and have found themselves mentioned in multiple reports involving impressive South American talent. Along with Cascante, Portland has been linked heavily to Peruvian forward Andy Polo along with Paraguayan midfielder Christian Parades, both of whom are currently playing in Liga MX.
