In some unfortunate news, Toronto FC starting keeper and part-time journalist Clint Irwin will be out 6-8 weeks with a quad strain that happened during a goal kick against Orlando on June 25th. Alex Bono will take over starting duties with Quillan Roberts taking over as back up for the time being.
This season has been a change in dynamics for Toronto FC, with a revamped back line and Clint Irwin between the posts they have only allowed 16 goals in 15 games. Clint Irwin has started all of Toronto FC’s games this season and has already accumulated 6 clean sheets since arriving from the Colorado Rapids over the summer.
