It was a dramatic match in the final leg of the Amway Canadian Championship, as Toronto FC broke Vancouver hearts in stoppage time.
After winning the opening leg at home 1-0, the Reds came into the match with the hopes of winning their third title in five years. They looked the better side in the opening half-hour with Sebastian Giovinco providing two chances. A shot that went wide left, and a free kick that was stopped by David Ousted.
In the opening minutes of the second half the Whitecaps seized their opening opportunity when Nicolas Mezquida headed home a ball from Jordan Harvey, and just like that both sides were tied on aggregate.
