Toronto FC earned a 2-1 win in their potentially season-defining victory over arch-rivals, the Montreal Impact, at BMO Field on Saturday night. Despite omitting talisman Alejandro Pozuelo from his starting line-up, Greg Vanney’s side were clearly better in the first half, registering four more attempts on goal than the visitors.
The Reds were unlucky to fall behind as a result of Bojan Krkic’s wonder-goal four minutes into the second half, however, their commitment to their attack-minded approach eventually culminated in goals from unlikely sources, Marky Delgado and Justin Morro snatching the three points for Toronto FC.
