In a crazy game of football, Toronto FC thrashed D.C. United 5-1 after extra-time to advance into the Eastern Conference play-off semi-finals. Toronto took the lead through Marky Delgado and looked to have done enough until Lucas Rodriguez scored a 93rd-minute equaliser for D.C. United.
But that was as good as it got for Ben Olsen’s side, who completely capitulated during extra-time, shipping four goals in 12 minutes, ending Wayne Rooney’s short MLS career.
So, how did the players rate during a remarkable night at BMO Field?
Quentin Westberg – 9 – Made a string of excellent saves in the second half as DC finally started to turn the screw.
