Toronto FC steals three points in late game victory over the Columbus Crew

These aren’t your mama’s Toronto FC, that’s for sure. Toronto FC won their fifth straight game for the first time in franchise history. Columbus dominated for 80 minutes of the game not giving Toronto many chances to score.

Toronto fell behind 1-0 on a Frederico Higuain cheeky penalty attempt. After Jozy Altidore was taken down in the box Toronto had to chance to tie the game before the half, but Zack Steffan was equal to the task making the big save.

After trying to break the Columbus defense down for 10-minutes Toronto finally got a breakthrough. Tossaint Ricketts latched onto a perfectly placed ball by Raheem Edwards in the 81st minute for the first goal.
