A dull affair at BC Place sprung into life in the dying minutes with one late goal on behalf of each Toronto FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps culminating in a 1-1 draw. Although Toronto had their share of possession in the Whitecaps’ half, Vancouver’s stingy defense, as well as a lack of incisive penetrative movement in the final third, saw the Reds struggle to find the back of the net once again.
Toronto FC have now failed to win in five of their last six matches but still managed to leapfrog the Chicago Fire to take hold of the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference after Chicago’s defeat to Atlanta United.
