After weeks of rumors, negotiations, and failed bids, Atlanta United has finally landed Argentinian star Ezequiel Barco. ESPN reported earlier today that Atlanta and Independiente have agreed to terms for the talented midfielder.
Atlanta will receive Barco for a fee of $15 million and will send 30% of a future transfer before December 2019 to Independiente. If sold after December 2019, Independiente will only receive 10% of the transfer fee. Marco will reportedly sign a five-year MLS contract.
