Well, it was a remarkable Saturday afternoon at Children’s Mercy Park for Sporting Kansas City. Playing host to an Ignacio Piatti-less Montreal Impact, Sporting KC absolutely dismantled their opponents, scoring seven goals and waltzing to a mightily impressive 7-1 victory.

Krisztian Nemeth scored a hat-trick, becoming the first Hungarian-born player to score three goals in an MLS game, while Johnny Russell also notched two goals and an assist as he continues his rise up the ranks of elite MLS wingers.
