Two of the top clubs in the Western Conference met for a massive match in Kansas City as the 2018 Major League Soccer season prepares to enter August. Visiting FC Dallas were hoping to extend their lead in the table against a Sporting Kansas City side that were the early frontrunners in the West just a few weeks prior.
What transpired was nobody’s guess, as Michael Barrios stole the show scoring three goals en route to a 3-2 victory for Dallas. Surprisingly, Barrios had not registered a single league goal entering Saturday night’s fixture.
