Sporting KC Takes First Step Forward Without Dwyer

Related Topics: Sporting Kansas City, Dom Dwyer

It’s just one game, but Sporting Kansas City had no problems scoring goals without Dom Dwyer, beating the Chicago Fire 3-2. The three goals came from three different scorers. It was a match where Kansas City was attacking all match, firing off 18 shots and forcing six saves in addition to the three goals.

The player who potentially has the most to gain with Dwyer gone is 21-year-old Daniel Salloi. He took advantage and opened the scoring in the 23rd minute.

After a Matt Besler own goal (that the team later had fun with), Benny Feilhaber became the second SKC player to finish off a bicycle kick.
