Sporting Kansas City made two big transactions on Tuesday with a signing of a young talent and a trade involving Amadou Dia.
Emmanuel Appiah was the player singed by Sporting Kansas City on Tuesday afternoon. The 22-year-old was originally selected by the Colorado Rapids as the 15th overall pick in the SuperDraft. However, the club waived him on June 30th. He had been on loan in the USL playing for the Charlotte Independence.
Appiah was born in Ghana, but grew up in Ohio. He played his collegiate soccer at the University of Cincinnati.
