It was a very different game from the first matchup at Children’s Mercy Park earlier this year. Saturday saw FC Dallas with a full strength lineup and put Sporting Kansas City’s defense on pressure the entire night.
Sporting had more of the ball than Dallas, but Oscar Pareja’s men created more dangerous chances and always looked the more likely to score.
After Tim Melia stood on his head for a while, Maynor Figueroa found a cross and headed home his close range header in the 77th minute.
Figueroa breaks the 0-0 deadlock to give @FCDallas a goal.
