Ever since joining the MLS in 2009, the Seattle Sounders have never failed to qualify for the playoffs, a very impressive stat until you realized that Seattle have never once played in the MLS Cup final- that is, until now. Sunday afternoon, the Sounders finished an intense 90 minutes against the Colorado Rapids, finishing 1-0 with a 3-1 win on aggregate. In a season that has seen Seattle go form sitting bottom of the Western Conference to grabbing a fourth place playoff seed in the West, the Sounders now have a chance at doing what no Seattle team has done before: win an MLS Cup.
