Sounder at Heart reported on Monday that the Sounders have added Oscar Romero to their transfer targets list. Romero is a play-making midfielder who plays for Argentinian side Racing Club as well as the Paraguayan national team, who played against Clint Dempsey and the United States in Group A play.
Another report from ABC.com said that Racing Club has had offers forRomero from teams located in Brazil, the United States and Europe. Romero looks to be on his way out as Racing Club has been looking into signing Marcelo Meli form Boca Junior, another strong midfielder that Racing could see as Romero’s replacement.
