It appears the Portland Timbers have found a new center back. It has yet to be confirmed with Steven Taylor or the Timbers organization, but there are certainly little birds chirping about it.
There have been rumors circulating that Taylor has been looking to leave Newcastle United after they were relegated from the English Premier League this past season. He has been with the club since 1995 when he joined the youth academy.
He is a well respected player and a highly talented. He would be a great addition to the Timbers backline, especially as center back Liam Ridgewell battles injury.
