Dylan Remick’s header made the difference for the Houston Dynamo as they took down the West’s top-seeded Portland Timbers on the road.
The Dynamo remained composed despite it being only their second road game in its last eight. The club put in one of its best defensive efforts against the conference’s most dynamic offense. It was Houston’s second road win of the year as the team struggled mightily away from home.
Now, the Dynamo face another tough test against reigning champs Seattle. The Sounders completed their playoff conquest of Vancouver on Thursday, taking a 2-0 home victory after playing to a scoreless draw in the first leg.
