A struggling Toronto FC visited Utah in hopes of ending a three-match winless run. Meanwhile, Real Salt Lake were simply hoping to give the home supporters a strong performance as they look to remain in the top seven in the Western Conference.
It was a quick start for RSL who went ahead thanks to Damir Kreilach’s 14th-minute goal. An absolute rocket from Sebastian Saucedo extended the lead to 2-0 less than 15 minutes later. Jefferson Savarino then solidified the three points in the second half to make it 3-0 in what was a dominant display by the hosts.
