It was a busy January for the Portland Timbers. The 2015 MLS Cup champions have been working on getting back to the top by signing a pair of forwards, re-signing their crucial playmaker to a TAM deal, and bolstering the team with two open Designated Player slots that have now been filled.
Jaroslaw Niezgoda was the marquee DP signing, the Polish center-forward set to ignite the striking options in Portland. But they also picked up Felipe Mora of Pumas UNAM on a season-long loan.
Entering the offseason, the Timbers only had one forward listed on their roster, Jeremy Ebobisse.
