Portland Timbers: 5 key players to watch in 2020

As the MLS continues to grow and clubs have increasingly broken transfer fee records, spending more money on attackers from Latin America, some teams have to do their best to catch up while others are just looking to find a unique mix of players on their roster for the 2020 MLS season and keep pace. There was an influx of players brought in across the board this offseason to Portland. An attempt to create depth and increase the squad’s scoring prowess is very apparent. They signed two new offensive Designated Players, opened up another DP slot with some clever contract movement, and now look to have built a team capable of making a deep run in the playoffs.
