FC Cincinnati's Aaron Boupendza was involved in an altercation at a bar Monday that resulted in the forward's jaw getting broken, according to Tom Bogert and Pablo Maurer of The Athletic.
In a police report obtained by The Athletic, a witness alleged that local professional boxer Quashawn Toler was the one who struck Boupendza. Toler has been listed as a suspect in the report.
On Wednesday, the club announced that Boupendza would undergo surgery to repair a broken jaw that would keep him out for six to eight weeks. FC Cincinnati described the situation as an "off-field injury.
