RMC Sport report that Les Verts chairman Bernard Caiazzo and Roland Romeyer have contacted Vieira about becoming the club’s manager for the 2017/18 Ligue 1 season after it was announced that current coach, Christophe Galtier, would be leaving the French club this summer.

Saint-Étienne have also reportedly been linked with a number of coaches to fill in the hot seat in time for next season. Former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has been linked with the managerial role, as well as current Southampton manager and former OG Nice manager, Claude Puel.
