Opening weekend was bittersweet in Orlando, Florida. Although the club opened the season with a win at home in their beautiful new stadium, the star that was expected to carry the club went down with an injury in the opening minutes of the match.
On Monday, the Lions announced that the Brazilian attacking midfielder, known simply as Kaka, would be out for about six weeks with a diagnosed left hamstring strain.
When speaking about the unfortunate injury, Orlando City head coach Jason Kreis expressed his sympathy concerning Kaka’s situation.
