The club announced today that they have officially reached a deal to bring former Heart of Midlothian winger Sam Nicholson to Minnesota. Nicholson should provide the Loons with some much-needed attacking depth.
Nicholson is joining Minnesota over interest from Scottish sides Rangers and Aberdeen, and English Championship sides Bristol City and Barnsley. As was initially reported, the 2-and-a-half-year contract does include a sell-on fee, so that a percentage of any future fee the Loons receive for Nicholson will go to his boyhood club, Hearts. Another thing of note, is that no Allocation Money was used in the deal.
