North Carolina Courage Vs Utah Royals: 3 things we learned – Hamilton stays hot

This weekend, the North Carolina Courage travelled to Rio Tinto Stadium to face off against Utah Royals FC who were looking to continue their undefeated streak against the defending champions. Carolina manager Paul Riley made headlines before kick-off, leaving McCall Zerboni off the starting lineup for the first time this season. Joining Zerboni on the bench was Lynn Williams, rested due to to a precautionary hamstring injury.

Christen Press opened up the scoring with a world-class shot from just outside the box to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. Utah would hold onto the one-goal lead until the 35th minute when Kristen Hamilton continued her incredible run of form with a world-class effort of her own to level the score at 1-1.
