Coming off an ICC runners-up performance, the North Carolina Courage hosted the Seattle Reign FC on a rainy night in North Carolina which saw the hosts take a vital 1-0 win for their push to the playoffs.
The Courage found themselves on the front foot from the off, Crystal Dunn taking a shot in the seventh minute that was just above the cross bar. North Carolina’s first shot on target would come in the 40th minute off an incredible free-kick by Debinha that was initially saved but then deflected off the crossbar. Only minutes later, Reign keeper Casey Murphy again kept a Debinha shot out of the net to send the teams into the half scoreless.
