It was another disappointing night on the road for the Chicago Fire on Wednesday, as the Men In Red fell 1-0 to New York City FC at Yankee Stadium. It was a typical ugly MLS midweek matchup, as neither team was able to string much possession together.
NYCFC would score the only goal of the contest in the opening ten minutes as a poor Fire corner went the other way. The home side flew up the field on the counter-attack and the move was finished off when a low cross from Heber was tapped in by a sliding Valentin Castellanos.
