New York City FC Disregards Seeding Numbers, But Not In-game Stats

The playoff seeds fired New York City’s Manager Patrick Vieira. Much noise about nothing, he told MLS contributor Dylan Butler.

Vieira: Sixth seed or fifth seed, it doesn’t mean anything. It just means if you finish top two you play one less game. It’s one game and a team who plays well on the day, of course, has more chance of winning the games.

They spoke of the Red Bulls’ 4-0 win against Chicago October 25.
