The 2019 Chicago Fire season died one last death on Saturday night as the Men In Red lost 2-1 against the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium. The home side took an early lead through Wilfried Zahibo. Brandon Bye managed to pick out the midfielder with an excellent cross to the near post, resulting in an easy tap in.
The Fire responded well and equalized right before the half-time break. Nicolas Gaitan whipped a free-kick into the penalty area and Francisco Calvo rose highest to head home. It was a back-and-forth affair throughout, but the Revs managed to grab a late winner.
