It seems to happen every summer in New England. For a stretch of games, somewhere between late June and early August, the New England Revolution simply just cannot win.
It happened in 2014, a year when the Revolution won the Eastern Conference Championship. New England went 10-straight games without picking up a win before trending positively down the stretch.
In 2015, New England hit a low-point again between May and July, winning once in a stretch of 12 games before making the playoffs. The last two seasons, poor starts preceded summer slumps and cost New England a playoff berth.
