The SuperDraft has decreasing value with every year. The best players skip college altogether. Those that enter professional football in their early 20s are generally considered too old. The difference in standard between the college game and Major League Soccer is simply too great. Very few players have the ability to make the jump.
But every now and then, true diamonds are uncovered.
