Columbus sits in second place of the Eastern Conference riding a five-match unbeaten streak which began with a home draw against the New England Revolution. The Crew enter Saturday’s match having not conceded in 315 minutes.
When the Revs and Crew last met less than a month ago, New England came back twice in the first half from one-goal deficits. The match ended 2-2, despite an all-out attack from Columbus to end the game.
New England is coming off a 3-2 victory over defending champ Toronto FC last week. The Revs held off a late comeback effort to preserve the three points.
