Montreal Impact: 3 things learned from loss to Columbus Crew

What started out as a disaster for the Montreal Impact turned into an opportunity to grab a point on the road. However, it was not to be. Gyasi Zardes converted a penalty kick in the 94th minute to lift the Crew past the Impact.

The first 15 minutes of the first half looked like it would be a long day for the Impact. Columbus scored twice in the opening quarter-hour, which included a penalty kick in the 12th minute as Jukka Raitala brought down Lalas Abubakar on a corner kick.

Set piece problems continued moments later when Zardes scored his first afternoon when he put home a header that hit the crossbar and landed perfectly for the striker.
